A Lei nº 13.460, de 26 de junho de 2017, também chamada de Lei de Proteção e Defesa dos Usuários de Serviços Públicos, é um dos principais complementos à Lei de Acesso à informação. Seu objetivo é estabelecer “normas básicas para participação, proteção e defesa dos direitos do usuário dos serviços públicos prestados direta ou indiretamente pela administração pública”. Ou seja, oficializa a relação entre usuários e o serviço público, análoga à de prestação de serviço particular, e dispõe as regras desta relação.
